In a time when the economy is struggling and consumers are bargain hunting, looking for ways to save money on things they need, the entertainment industry appears to be bucking the trend. People are spending money on movie tickets, going to the theater and buying records. The business for independent recording artists, producers and filmmakers is booming. They are distributing their works via the internet to a wide audience. It seems the ‘transformational entertainment’ is not dead after all. The fall issue of T E News sought to explore what entertainment is through a series of articles that delved into the many facets of this complex concept.
