The Impact of Entertaiment on a Society

Entertaiment is the ability of the human mind to be entertained. It has many forms, ranging from food and drink to sports and games. Entertainment is a powerful force that can bring joy and stimulate learning, but it can also be detrimental if it goes too far. The word “entertainment” is derived from the Latin intertenere, which means “to hold inside.” [1]

What is considered entertainment for one person or group of people may be viewed as work or even an act of cruelty by others. It is therefore important to consider the impact of entertainment on a society. [2]
